Mrs. Sonu Gupta, the managing trustee of Goel Ganga Foundation, is the founder and Executive Director of GG International Group of Schools. An edupreneur known for her vision, leadership and ethical practices, she has paved the path of success for many academicians.

Mrs. Gupta firmly believes that “Being literate is not enough. Education, along with a sound value system, healthy body and a habit of life-long learning, can make the youth of our country globally competent and emotionally intelligent”. Popular among the parents and the students, Sonu Ma’am, as everyone calls her, is known for initiatives like “Start Right”, where she guides preschool parents to choose the right institute, “Eat Right”, where she counsels parents on good food habits for their children, and “iParent Club”, where parents connect with experts through seminars, workshops and sessions that are offered to them for free. A sports nutritionist by education, Mrs Gupta devotes immense energy towards uplifting every GGian’s health. Her initiatives include introducing “Zero Period,” where every child spends the first hour participating in an activity of their liking, sports and arts alike, thereby positively impacting their physical and mental wellbeing. Her dedication towards clean eating is also reflected in the “No Packaged Foods” policy across all branches.

Mrs. Gupta’s passion for spreading quality education has led her to start a chain of preschools, GGIS Atha, which has revolutionized early childhood education in Pune. She is also the brain behind IGNITE, a skill-based teachers’ training programme that empowers women through training and hands-on learning. The recent establishment of the Sonaru Foundation is an extension of this passion, which focuses on uplifting society’s women and children through financial literacy and educational aids through the Kaladeep Scholarship.

Mrs. Gupta’s commitment towards social causes is evident from the numerous community outreach programmes GGIS conducts every year. She is a life member of FLO, the women’s wing of FICCI, and participates in various philanthropic activities.
