The 3 Pathways to Swatmanam Bodh

HOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT

1. Zero Period

Zero Period is our first period of the day. It gives students the freedom to begin the day with an activity they love, be it sports, art, or even dance. There are no restrictions, each child gets to choose how they spend the first 50 minutes of their mornings at GGIS!

HOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT

2. Physical Education

Physical education builds strength, stamina, and discipline through structured weekly sessions. As a part of our holistic approach to the students’ development, all students undergo age-appropriate training, consisting of three weekly sessions.

HOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT

3. Theme-based Class Presentations

At GGIS, our practice of theme-based class presentations offers students a platform to express, perform, and connect with diverse cultures, thereby strengthening their confidence and worldview.

These events allow learners to take ownership of their ideas, engage in meaningful storytelling, and showcase their learning in creative formats, in the process learning invaluable skills of teamwork and collaboration.

HOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT

4. Community Building

We celebrate many days of national as well as international significance at GGIS. We also regularly engage in activities that build the social responsibility muscle in our students. Visits to museums, orphanages, villages, national monuments, defence installations, along with industrial tours empower our students to learn the value of becoming contributing members of society.

The GGIS Curriculum

1. The Scope File

Each student’s journey is carefully documented and passed on to the next class teacher annually. This record includes academic performance, health updates, home visit notes, behavioural observations, and achievements.

The GGIS Curriculum

2. Life Skills & Sanskaar

Age-appropriate life skills and foundational values (Sanskaars) are seamlessly woven into the lesson plans of every class, equipping students to navigate challenges with confidence, empathy, and integrity.

The GGIS Curriculum

3. Session Planning

The primary objective of the pedagogical plan is to enhance the teaching-learning process by making it more constructive, collaborative, integrative, reflective, and inquiry-based. Teachers prepare session plans in advance, which are reviewed by their respective HODs.

The GGIS Curriculum

4. Teacher Training

Each faculty member undergoes at least two external training sessions per year to enrich their subject knowledge and enhance their skills. Teacher training programs equip our teachers to stay ahead of the curve in a fast-changing world and help their students to successfully navigate these rapid evolutions.

The GGIS Curriculum

5. Accreditations

Our school is CBSE- affiliated and NABET- accredited. These bear testimony to our curricular prowess and to the strength of our administrative systems and processes.

The GGIS Curriculum

6. Differentiated Learning

Differentiated learning is the process of tailoring lessons to meet each student's interests, needs, and strengths. At GGIS, we practice differentiated learning to address the learning needs of each child through innovative pedagogical practices.

Parental Well-Being

1. Home Visits

Home Visits help teachers connect with students beyond the classroom. These visits help teachers understand a child's psychology, environment, and neighbourhood, fostering emotional connections that create a stronger bond among students, parents, and teachers. They also provide a valuable opportunity for parents to get to know the teachers who contribute to such a large portion of their children’s learning journeys.

Parental Well-Being

2. Mothers’ Meets

Mothers’ Meets ensure families are informed and involved. They are organized to inform parents about the teaching-learning process, upcoming events, syllabus, and details of subject enrichment activities.

Parental Well-Being

3. iParent Sessions

iParent Sessions offer parents practical insights on topics like digital safety, emotional health, and mindful parenting, strengthening the support system at home. These are free sessions, open to all parents because we believe informed, confident, and connected parents create the strongest foundation for a child’s growth. We invite some of the best subject matter experts and industry leaders to interact with our parents in these sessions.
